Professor Huth is presently conducting research on civils wars with attention to a) when do governments target and kill large numbers of civilians, b) when do outsides states intervene into civil wars, c) does intervention contribute to the resolution of civil warts and promote recovery in the post-civil war period, and d) what are the longer term public health consequences of civil wars for a country's general population. Several article-length papers are currently being written on these topics.
