Research Interests:

Much of Professor Singer's work falls within the Correlates of War Project which he began in 1964 and which continues to the present day, year, decade, etc. In addition to a data-based study of change, continuity, and war in the global system, 1816-2001, there is the continuing quest for those systemic and state-level factors that, in combination with dispute behavior, characterize the run-up to war. Finally, the COW project has a 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. seminar every Friday and interested colleagues and graduate students are invited to attend.
