Research Interests:

Jake Bowers is currently examining the dynamics of political participation within the lives of ordinary Americans. This involves studying the changing rates at which people participate over the course of their lives, the timing of participation episodes in the life-course of the individual, the persistence of spells of activity and inactivity, and the sequences of activities and issues pursued by individuals. He is also interested in methods of design and analysis for multilevel data.
