Research Interests:


Edie N. Goldenberg is Professor of Political Science and Public Policy at the University of Michigan. She is also the Director of the Michigan in Washington Program. She joined the Michigan faculty as Assistant Professor of Political Science in 1974. From 1989-98 Professor Goldenberg served as Dean of the College of Literature, Science and the Arts and from 1987-89 she served as Director of Michigan's Institute of Public Policy Studies (now the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy).

Professor Goldenberg is an elected member of the National Academy of Public Administration. She serves on the Corporation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, on the Academic Advisory Committee of Yeshiva University and as an Academic Fellow of the Carnegie Corporation. Dr. Goldenberg holds a B.S. degree in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from Stanford University. She has published numerous articles and two books; currently she is conducting a collaborative study of the structure of decision-making in research universities, with support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
