Research Interests:


Professor Kinder's book on racial politics (with Lynn Sanders of the University of Chicago) -- Divided by Color -- appeared in Spring of 1996; a book-length essay on public opinion for the 4th edition of the Handbook of Social Psychology came out in the fall of 1997. Kinder's current interests include: rehabilitating the concept of ethnocentrism; developing a psychological theory of framing; and playing with his children.
