Research Interests:

Professor Kerner studies the politics of corporate finance, with a particular focus on foreign direct investment, corporate governance and the impacts of pension reform. He is currently working on two projects. The first explores pension funds' role in promoting pro-shareholder corporate governance rules around the world. Another project examines how variation in corporate governance standards mediates conflict's impact on stock market returns.

Professor Kerner joined the Michigan faculty in Fall of 2009. He received his BA from Connecticut College.
